What
it is, how it works and how much it costs?
AFF, combined with USPA's Integrated Student Program allows you to build a great set of skydiving skills and advance to solo skydiving in as little as 9 jumps.
Skydive City has aligned with USPA's training
doctrine and is now offering a 9 jump training program,
your 9th jump typically being your first solo skydive.
You can achieve your skydiving license in 25 jumps, and we offer packages for all of these programs.
Each 'Category' can consist of 1-3
skydives and establishes a set of knowledge and practical
skills before you move onto the next Category.
In a nutshell:
The Ground School & your First AFF Jump.
details below... |
Category A is the first jump, includes a detailed ground school on all aspects of freefall skydiving, aircraft procedures, equipment, canopy control, landing and unusual or emergency procedures. |
After the first jump, you continue through the rest of the Categories

Category B immediately begines teaching you new freefall and parachute skills. freefall turns, etc
Category C is the first jumps where we actually let you fly solo, even though you are stilll jumping with instructors.
Category D enhances freefall and canopy skills, such as freefall turns, and accurate landings, and well as various flight characteristics of the parachute you are flying.
Category E teaches you how to fall 'unstable' and then recover, backloops, frontloops and other aerobatic maneuvers in freefall. We also finish off the requirements so you cna solo fly the parachute to the landing area.
Once you complete all these tasks, your 3rd jump in Category E becomes your first COMPLETELY solo skydive. |
