Cinco de Mayo Fiesta & Safety Weekend

Most of our snowbirds have flown from the nest but we’re going to party like it’s the 6th of May anyway.

Let’s get together for a fun weekend of jumping, eating, and learning.

Friday night starts the party with make your own taco bar in the birdhouse at 6:30 (prepped by Julie). We will be playing a movie as well (Three Amigos is the current contender but we like suggestions). We’re using club and personal funds for this so no charge (but donations are always welcome).

Saturday morning we will have our safety day:

9am – Q&A with Cheif Pilot Keith May

10am – Canopy Risk Assessment and Downsizing with Cameron King

11am – Flying Camera and Camera set up with Chris Stubbs

12pm – First Response with Lisa Oldham Simpson and Lazaro Rodriguez

1pm – Understanding and Maintaining your Gear with Shelly Wetterstroem

2pm – Leading Angles with Gian Franco Malinconi Reyes

And there are more coming!

All presentations will be in the Bird House. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!!

Saturday night the cafe will be serving lasagna and garlic bread for $13.50 at 6:30. And we will be playing Nintendo Switch or other fun evening games.

Sunday will be normal jumping but we have a Flight 101 offering with Aaron Stocum you can join or you can hook up with our fun jump organizer, Justin Shafer, or other friends for some fun shenanigans on Sunday. Wawatography is always ready to jump with you and catch your shenanigans in action will be around Sunday.
