To become a Coach Examiner or an Instructor Examiner you have to take an Instructor-Examiner course. We teach these courses twice a year, in December and in March and sometimes on request. The IE-rating course is a 2-3 day course with classroom presentations and several teaching evaluations.
Each discipline has different requirements that need to get signed off on the USPA Coach Examiner/Instructor Examiner proficiency card. The evaluation jumps need to be signed of on the USPA evaluation jumps tracking form. Each discipline requires a certain amount of course evaluation jumps that are signed by the supervising Examiner We will send you a Proficiency card and a tacking form on request. Just send us an email.
The IE course is mostly about advanced teaching methods. Our goal is to show you how you can apply these theories in your day to day teaching.
This is the only course we teach that has no course jumps.
We need all candidates to prepare their lesson plans ahead of time. You will be teaching 2 topics from the rating course outline in the IRM of the discipline that you want to become an Examiner for. Also each candidate teaches one topic that has nothing to do with skydiving using the same teaching principles.
The written exam questions are in the IRM. This exam has open questions and candidates are required to score 100 %
